Major Expansion at Bonny Island

From Vanessa rotary process valves and Fasani gate valves – both equipped with Biffi actuators – to Hindle ball valves and Anderson Greenwood pilot operated valves and instrumentation, Tyco's expertise is helping Nigeria to develop its gas reserves and has already reduced the level of gas flaring by a substantial degree.

The major expansion of Shell's Bonny Island LNG plant in Nigeria has seen Tyco Flow Control deliver a wide range of specialist products up to train 6. From Vanessa rotary process valves and Fasani gate valves - both equipped with Biffi actuators - to Hindle ball valves and Anderson Greenwood pilot operated valves and instrumentation, Tyco's expertise is helping Nigeria to develop its gas reserves and has already reduced the level of gas flaring by a substantial degree.

Tyco Flow Control's expertise in the sector is demonstrated by its level of investment in cryogenic testing. For instance the Vanessa state-of-the-art manufacturing plant boasts a fully equipped cryogenic testing facility, able to perform tests in accordance to all major international cryogenic procedures on sizes up to 84". The cryogenic bunker is fitted with the most technologically advanced testing instruments and equipment including helium mass spectrometer, mass flow meter, computer-controlled thermocouples, and a complete series of stainless steel caps to test the whole range of valve diameters. Onsite testing improves the flow of the supply process and helps to ensure contract completion in the established timescales.
